“Nature never ceases to amaze. We were stunned by the magnificence & grandeur of St. Beatus Caves, Switzerland. Placed next to the lakes of Interlaken, these caves are dedicated to St. Beat, a 6th century dragon slaying monk.”
“The picture depicts the exterior of the caves, but the interior is equally mesmerising. You can easily witness the hard work nature has put over millions of years, in the construction of stalactites & stalagmites. Caves have to be closed for a couple of months every year ‘coz they get flooded by rain water. Stretched over half a mile, there are places where sunlight is not permitted to intervene. Good news is, humans are allowed to visit! So, add this enchanting spot to your bucket list, this is not a place to be missed!” ~Poonam
