Baisakhi is usually celebrated on April 13 or 14, every year. It is remembered for many historical & religious events.

*It marks the beginning of Hindu Solar New Year.

*This day observed the coronation of the tenth guru, ‘Guru Gobind Singh’ & formation of Khalsa Panth.

*Arya Samaj was founded by ‘Swami Dayanand Saraswati’on this day.

*’Gautam Buddha’ attained Nirvana on this auspicious day.

*On a sad note-this day also witnessed the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
