‘Love is All That Matters’ by: Poonam

Decades have passed with this ongoing discussion that males and females are equal and should be treated as such. In a way, this is appropriate concerning the social, political, and economic structure. However, there are more layers to this theory. I believe men and women can never be equal because they are not created equal, not just biologically but also emotionally and spiritually. Today, let us focus on the emotional aspect.

Women love to fall in love. They feel comfortable with the entire process because it’s innate in them. Quite effortlessly, they form deeper connections. They think from the heart, act & follow the heart’s guidance. They are creatures of the heart. Therefore, a woman can naturally nurture, surrender & encompass everything.

Men, conversely, are guided by their intellect. They don’t lead with their hearts; therefore, they view everything as a duty. Love, too, appears as a responsibility to them. They believe falling for someone involves investing time, attention, provision & protection. This seems like work to them, an added chore. Thus, when a man genuinely falls in love, he feels it on a profound level & stays committed indefinitely. Either he is totally in love or not at all into it.

This implies, for a woman love is the whole world whereas, for a man love is only a part of his world!

Does this mean that one is superior to the other? Do we deserve to pass judgment? I don’t think so, because both are unique & beautiful in their own manner. The best we can do is to appreciate the differences established by nature & make the best out of what is available. Making course corrections along the way is not a bad idea. However, we cannot ignore that both are capable of loving & this is all that matters. What’s your take on this? ~Poonam
