You all must be bewildered, as to why I am publicising a movie on a website that has nothing to do with cinema & acting, religion & politics. This site is purely committed to spirituality & humanity, art & life. However, after witnessing the gruesome tragedy portrayed in this picture I could not help myself & took to my site to urge you people to go & watch it.
First thing first, ‘The Kashmir Files’ is not a movie, it is ‘History’, rather an untold, unheard, suppressed & hidden truth. But the thing with truth is, that it has a habit of coming to light & winning. It takes time but never gets defeated. On this occurrence, it took 32 long years to reveal itself & left the onlookers stunned, shaken & emotionally bulldozed.
I might sound brutal in suggesting you to watch it, but believe me, the discomfort that the viewers are bearing is nothing as compared to the brutality & trauma that the people of Kashmir have been inflicted to. No doubt, this is a heavy watch, I had my eyes & ears shut in most scenes, still it will keep haunting me for the rest of my life. It is part of my emotional experience now.
This truth left me with an extremely uneasy thought, that humans have a very powerful tendency & potential of becoming a tyrant. If provided with enough prerogative & opportunity, they can very easily & willing become ‘Hitlers’ !! We will go to depth about this concept in some other post. Right now, I am not in a frame of mind to ponder with objective outlook. I am here today just to contribute my share in spreading awareness. Go & watch it in Cinema Halls, so that we can affirm that we are on the side of truth & justice. Also, because the whole bollywood is against this film, we know why !! This is a time to take stand for what is right. If you just want to snuggle in your comfort zone, thinking that such a thing can never happen to you, then my dear you are categorically wrong. If this can happen to Jews & Kashmiri Residents(pandits, to be precise), then it can happen to anybody inhabiting this planet !!!
“Watch & Talk”
This is the least we can do to accelerate the pace of truth & justice. Silence empowers injustice & pampers the oppressors. The survivors are saying that the film is true to the core, still only 10% of savagery is portrayed. Can you imagine what they mean ?!
“It was not an Exodus, it was a Genocide”
Last but not the least, don’t miss the speech in the end, it will provide some amazing insights that are missing from our textbooks. JAI HIND🙏🏻 ~Poonam~

Beautiful blog/article, loved reading it and honestly my heart goes out to everyone who had to go through that trauma 32 years ago. It’s a shame that the authorities, governments, media and even so called friends betrayed them. It’s heart wrenching and painful part of our history on Kashmkri Pandits’ genocide. What we felt while watching this movie must have been nothing considering the enormous amount of terror those Kashmiri Pandits have been through for over 3 decades!
Time to wake up and stand for the truth as rightly said in the movie. It’s not only about Kashmir, it can happen in other states too.
Jai Hind!
Thank you for resonating with the article, and thank you so much for being so sensitive towards the suffering of others. Appreciating the film & spreading the word is the least we can do to give our share! Jai Hind🙏🏻
